Swiss Business Class Review - A330-300 New York to Zurich (JFK-ZRH)

Flying on Swiss Concern Class is always a glamorous experience:  rich seating, European hospitality, and sophisticate meals.   I dearest their jets, their branding, and the whole experience.

Hither's a review of my recent flight on their Airbus 330-300 from New York to Zurich:

Seating

Swiss has a fabled business course seat for trans-oceanic flights.

Information technology has plenty of room, privacy, and prevarication apartment capabilities.   In that location are a number of configuration options to choose from – so you need to choose wisely.

There are iii types of solo seats starting with their famous throne seat.  This is a unmarried seat with a tabular array on either side (it looks like a throne).  The extra space comes with a surcharge though - even in business class ($145 on my flight). Many claim information technology's worth it.  I'one thousand non so certain: I have flown on it several times but opted to go for the 'regular' single seat on this crossing (and I still loved it).

For the regular unmarried – yous tin can choose from a tabular array on the aisle side – or one on the window side.  The "alley-side" option is reserved for Swiss Frequent Travelers though – and then I went for the window-side one. Some people don't like that seat as they claim they become bumped by fellow flyers every bit they walk by. I did not experience that problem, so I wouldn't worry about it.

All of the seats had more controls than the Infinite Shuttle!

There's a command for moving the seat into any imaginable position – and one for operating the video.  Once the seat is in the lie flat position there is fifty-fifty some other one to operating the lighting.

I loved the seat'due south massive side table.

Information technology made the whole flight experience feel roomier – and therefore relaxing.  This was the perfect spot for housing my cocktails, reading glasses, magazines and headphones.

On Swiss the table has woods paneling – and comes with an extra reading light to ensure you don't disturb your fellow flyers on a nighttime flight.

The absolute best thing about the Swiss Business concern form seat is it'south lie apartment capabilities.  The cushioning is super comfortable – and the bedding feels luxe!   I put the seat down 10 minutes later on dinner – and slept the whole way to Switzerland (although the VSOP Remy Martin could have aid with that too!).

I was in a bulkhead seat – then I had extra room to spread out.  The human foot-well was enourmous – and there was no way I could impact the wall.

Food and Beverage

I have flown this route several times – and Swiss e'er has speedy meal and drink service between New York and Zurich.  This gives flyers more time to settle in and sleep since this is a relatively short flight.

Beverage options were plentiful: everything from fine champagnes (Duval-Lerory Brut on my flight), wines, aperitifs and spirits – to herbal teas and expresso car coffees.  They also featured a number of local digestifs including Swiss Etter Kirsh and Appenzeller Aplenbitter.

At that place were 4 options for dinner.  I went for the Basel-style salmon with lemon butter.  It was super flavorful and tasty!  And it was cooked to perfection.  I was over the moon with my choice.

It was served with a seasonal salad and a pick of Swiss cheeses (my favorite – and a full diet billow!).

I don't normally have dessert on a flight – but I couldn't resist the beautifully presented Pistachio and Apricot Tart (pistachios get me all the time).  It looked as skilful every bit it tasted - especially with a glass of Niepoort Junior Tawny port!

As we approached Zurich, the flying attendants started the breakfast service.  On Swiss you demand to pre-order what y'all want the dark before (afterward dinner).  I went for the healthy option of fruit and yogurt – and an amazing Nespresso coffee!

They didn't offer any hot items – merely if you really want something similar that – all of the lounges in Zurich (including the Arrivals Lounge) have huge spreads at breakfast time.

Amenity Kits

Swiss has an interesting accept on the Amenity Kit.  They have multiple ones available in an effort to add variety – and encourage collection.

Every seat seemed to accept a different one.  Some passengers had passport holders, while others had metallic tins.  I had the Victorinox toiletries bag  - which included a toothbrush, moisturizer, and eye shades.

If you need more products – the concern class restroom was fully stocked!

I actually enjoyed my flying to Zurich on Swiss Business Class.  The cabin featured fabled seats, the meals were scrumptious, and the service was slick.  The Swiss are renowned for their hospitality and cuisine – and their national carrier is a great reflection of that!

I tin't expect for my adjacent transatlantic flight on this exquisite airline!
